Overview

The Foster Parent Recruitment Manager is responsible for leading recruitment efforts in Family Foster Care Parent home development. The Foster Parent Recruitment Manager will lead their state recruitment team in developing territories, increasing targeted populations, developing sales plans, and developing rapport with potential candidates, and help increase awareness of the need for families. The Foster Parent Recruitment Manager is also responsible for taking new families through the SAFE home study process, mitigating applications with recruitment team, and seeing homes through the state licensing process.

Responsibilities Develops and executes effective recruitment and marketing strategies to grow foster parent new home development with State Recruitment TeamLeads recruitment discussions with state recruitment team with fully developed and polished communication and writing skillsMaintains current data in Foster Parent Pipeline while consulting with Recruitment team weekly for updates, goals, and upcoming recruitment activitiesIdentifies areas of growth within the team by listening and solution/consultative sellingServes as a leadership role amongst recruitment teamManages multiple recruitment opportunities simultaneously and demonstrates a focus on follow-up and accountabilityUnderstands and follows all agency and state licensing requirements and always ensure foster parents’ compliance with regulationsWork through and complete certification process with foster parents, including the completion of necessary documentation requiredLearns and executes the company's consultative selling strategy to build sustainable relationships with targeted referral customersParticipates in strategic planning and the analysis with each member of the state recruitment teamCoordinates with Director to plan in-services, presentations, and address issues with referral sourcesInitiates and coordinates contract negotiations with facilities, insurance companies, and managed care organizationsParticipates in community and organizational programs, as requested, to promote professional growth and understandingParticipates in the quality and performance improvement processSupports and promotes the Company philosophy to referral sources in the communityPromotes an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environmentSupports and implements specific procedures and programs to meet new home development goalsCompletes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform, and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Childhood Education, Education Counseling and Psychology, or other Human Service, Behavioral Science field or Public Administration fieldMinimum of three year of work experience in a Child Placing Agency, the Department of Family and Children Services, or Non-Profit Agency preferredTwo to four years of Experience in Resource Development/ Foster Parent Recruitment and Retention preferredTwo year of marketing, fundraising, and event coordination preferredOne to five years’ experience in full cycle recruiting in a fast paced, professional oriented environment; experience in sales, insurance or financial services recruitment preferredState Specific Foster Parent Pre-Service Training CertificateSAFE certified Home Study Writer Certification Preferred. Company will assign this training within first month of employment as a Licensing SpecialistStrong recruiting mentality and a general understanding of a recruiting life-cycle from sourcing/lead generation to filling positionsSolid sense of confidentiality and discretionDemonstrated knowledge of vast recruiting strategies, including savvy social media platformsStrong business acumen and attention to detailEffective at cold calling, pursuing warm leads, and transforming candidates into new colleaguesAbility to remain customer focused and use independent judgement in problem solvingAbility to think through issues and identify appropriate optionsAbility to speak in front of people to deliver necessary material or messagingAbility to influence professionals of senior management levelAbility to design and apply change management and organizational development strategies and influences and assists organizational change initiatives in support of business strategiesAbility to work with remote teams with units in multiple locationsAbility to handle multiple prioritiesSubstantial business acumen in fast moving environmentAbility to develop clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategyAbility to effectively negotiate and diplomatically manage conflictAbility to motivate and keep teams working effectively togetherSelf-starter to implement and enforce process About our Line of Business StepStone Family and Youth Services, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, provides the full spectrum of support to children in need of alternative, safer, and more positive living environments with residential and family services.
