Services are provided by the Service Center, Custodial Services, Electrical Systems, Electronic Equipment Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, Equipment Maintenance, Mechanical Systems Maintenance, Structural Maintenance and Planning, Design & Construction work units. This position will provide general labor services for Physical Plant Services with special emphasis on materials handling, minor vehicle and equipment service, grounds duties, custodial duties, snow removal and assisting other work units within the department This position is an essential services position and required to work during inclement weather, campus special events and emergencies. This position is eligible for overtime when preapproved by the supervisor, eligible for call back pay, shift differential when applicable and is covered under the Colorado Partnership for Quality Jobs & Services Act. JOB DUTIES Material Handling 55% + Set up & break down equipment for special events and athletic events including transport, layout, set up and take down tables, chairs, risers, platforms, curtains, tents, canopies, floor protectors, etc. + Assist with trash and recycling for the campus. Pick up and empty trash containers on campus and deliver refuse to central containers utilizing truck or service cart. + Move office furniture and campus equipment as requested utilizing hand trucks, dollies and other moving devices. + Assembling/ disassembling office furniture as required for transport or final set-up Vehicle and Equipment Service 25% + Set up & break down equipment for special events and athletic events including transport, layout, set up and take down tables, chairs, risers, platforms, curtains, tents, canopies, floor protectors, etc. + Assist with trash and recycling for the campus. May operate basic hand tools, circular saw, jog saw, and drills. + Perform other duties as assigned.
