Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented entry-level formulation chemist to join our team. This entry-level position is designed to support and enhance the overall productivity of our laboratory. The role involves specialized activities in advanced testing, specification testing, quality assurance investigation, and scale-up support.
Responsibilities
Utilize advanced analytical equipment for characterization and problem-solving.Evaluate coating systems to specifications or other test requirements using ASTM or other test methods.Prepare and test samples to support customer complaint investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Assist in the scale-up activities of new or difficult-to-manufacture formulations in the plant.Ensure compliance with all record-keeping and documentation requirements supporting laboratory activities.Provide technical assistance to internal departments and customers.Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.Experience in scale-up and formulation.Prior chemical testing experience.Physical testing experience (corrosion/weathering).Salt/humidity testing experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Quality control and assurance knowledge.Laboratory and analytical chemistry skills.Experience with titration, inspection, and wet chemistry.Data entry proficiency.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
