Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for staging products and transporting finished materials to and from the welders. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the workflow and ensuring the efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials.Prepare materials for operators, ensuring they are available when needed.Clean and organize workstations to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.Help prepare bays for operations.Assist in all shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks.Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience operating a sit-down forklift.Ability to pass a forklift test, demonstrating skill in operating the forklift in narrow and tight spaces.Understanding and adherence to safety protocols, especially when maneuvering around blind corners.Capability to carefully load and unload materials, particularly those that are not securely strapped down.Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in material handling and general labor.Familiarity with warehouse operations, production processes, inventory management, packaging, and unloading.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position operates on the 1st shift: 5:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Thursday and 6:00am - 2:30pm on Friday. The role involves working outside in various weather conditions, including rain and cold. The facility includes a weld shop with up to 20 welders. Initial training will be provided for the first few weeks with occasional check-ins, after which you will work independently alongside shop help.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
