**Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler**
**Job Description**
This position involves a dual role of forklift operation and glass preparation duties. Candidates will play a critical role in the plant by delivering extrusion inventory to the fabrication department or managing physical inventory in the yard. Additionally, they will support the finished product area by applying a special coating to materials and assisting with shipping and inventory functions.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a sit-down forklift to handle awkward and long materials.
+ Apply special coatings to materials, requiring good dexterity and attention to detail.
+ Support all shipping and inventory functions, including managing physical inventory.
+ Learn and manage inventory systems, ensuring accurate materials are pulled for the fabrication group.
+ Notify department leads and supervisors of any errors in material placement or damaged products.
+ Shrink wrap and assist in building custom wooden crates for product transport.
+ Use an iPad and desktop device for inventory management, requiring strong computer/data entry skills.
+ Meet daily and overall production goals for respective departments.
+ Maintain organization in both the yard and shop, taking initiative in clean-up duties.
+ Lift up to 50lbs unassisted and engage in standing and walking for an 8-hour shift.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-2 years of forklift operation experience.
+ 2-3 years of manufacturing or hands-on tasks experience.
+ 1-2 years of computer experience, including PC usage.
+ Experience with inventory management and shipping/receiving functions.
+ Ability to operate a sit-down forklift with non-palletized, awkward, and long materials.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Heavy industrial, heavy equipment, and inventory management.
+ Quality or hands-on manufacturing role experience is a plus.
+ Flexibility to perform tasks as needed in various roles.
+ Ability to work in a non-climate controlled, loud manufacturing environment.

**Work Environment**

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
