**Job Title: Forklift Operator And Material Handler** **Job Description** As a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, you will spend the majority of your time working in the shop, operating a variety of forklifts with capacities ranging from 5,000lbs to 8,000lbs, including a stand-up reach forklift. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading flatbed trucks, trailers, and customer vans, as well as assisting drivers in securing loads. You will also manage documentation such as packing slips and Bills of Lading, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies. **Responsibilities** + Operate sit-down and stand-up reach forklifts with capacities up to 8,000lbs. + Load and unload flatbed trucks, trailers, and customer vans. + Assist drivers in strapping down and securing loads. + Perform manual labor tasks such as moving and reorganizing products. + Handle documentation like packing slips and check Bills of Lading for accuracy. + Use pick tickets when loading trucks. + Interact with customers and drivers regularly. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 6+ months of counterbalance forklift experience. + Valid forklift certification (Class 1, 4, or 5). + Ability to lift 50lbs. + Experience in shipping and receiving. + Good attitude and willingness to learn. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Yard material handling experience. + Stand-up reach truck experience. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers long-term stability in a welcoming and respectful work environment.
