**West Vancouver Materials Recovery Center (West Van)** , a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated & safety driven, **Forklift Operator,** to work at our **Transfer Station** in **Vancouver, WA.** Pay range is **$27-$29/HR DOE** Schedule is **Monday - Friday** Shift is **12:30 PM to 9:00 PM** with some overtime as needed. Safety Sensitive: **Yes** Qualified candidates must have **Forklift** operating experience. + **REQUIRES** ability to efficiently & safely operate **Forklift.** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Operate forklift or other equipment as needed. + Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires. + Completes daily reports on pre and post trip inspections of equipment. + Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up. + Spotting Trucks. + Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. + Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change. + Working outside in all weather conditions. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: + Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. + Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts which require following basic safety precautions. + Ability to perform a physically demanding job at times with no helpers.
