Forklift Operator
Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to stock the line with unfinished goods and materials, and to move finished goods to the warehouse for shipping. This includes operating a sit-down forklift, loading materials onto the production line, shrink wrapping, and packaging parts, as well as handling and organizing materials within the shop.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a sit-down forklift.Load the production line with necessary materials.Shrink wrap and package parts for shipping.Handle and organize materials within the shop.Maintain inventory control and manage stock.Ensure effective material handling and transportation.Participate in shipping and receiving processes.Essential Skills6 months to 1 year of sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing facility.Experience with sit-down propane forklifts.Proficiency in material handling and stocking operations.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in unloading, packaging, and inventory management.Ability to operate a forklift in a tight facility.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is based in a plating facility with good air circulation throughout most of the plant. Candidates are required to wear work boots and operate forklifts in tight spaces. The environment may not be the cleanest, but it is functional and well-ventilated.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
