Forklift Operator

We also have developed a range of by-products for specialized applications across industry, construction and agriculture, which utilize Harsco’s expertise in mineral materials. **Job Purpose:** To operate various types of forklifts with capacities ranging from 2 tons to 30 tons, ensuring the safe and efficient handling, transportation, and storage of steel products such as coils, billets, sheets, and structural components. **Key Responsibilities:** + Operate different forklift types. + Safely load, unload, and transport steel materials within the facility and yard. + Handle long and oversized steel items such as beams, pipes, and coils. + Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance needs. + Ensure proper stacking and storage to prevent damage and maintain safety. + Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet operational targets. + Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory. + Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE at all times. + Assist in general warehouse duties when required. + Strong safety awareness and attention to detail. + Ability to operate various forklift types confidently and efficiently. + Good communication and teamwork skills. + Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding environments. + Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues. **Qualifications & Experience:** + Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating forklifts in a heavy industrial or steel manufacturing environment. + Valid forklift operator license/certification for multiple forklift types. + Experience handling heavy and oversized steel products.
