Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator where you will be responsible for order picking using the cherry picker and reach forklift, as well as using an RF scanner. Initially, you will focus on these tasks and eventually transition to the shipping department, performing similar duties. This role demands physical effort, including lifting up to 50lbs.

ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload trailers efficiently.Conduct order verifications and ensure accuracy.Assist the shipping department with various tasks.Wrap orders securely for shipment.Operate different types of machinery including raymond reach forklift, sit down forklift, order picker, and end rider.Essential Skills1+ year experience with cherry picker.2+ years of warehouse experience using RF scan gun.1+ years of experience in heavy lifting (50lbs).Proficiency in forklift operations, inventory management, order picking, material handling, loading, and packing.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with raymond reach forklift is a plus.AB Certification is advantageous.Familiarity with sit-down forklifts is preferred.Proficient in using RF scanners.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a large distribution center for Western Canada. The team employs cherry pickers, reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts. The warehouse is a bit dusty, and employees need to be quick and efficient. The culture emphasizes treating agency staff as full-time employees while encouraging a healthy work-life balance. The dress code requires steel-toed footwear and comfortable attire. Shifts vary, with options for day or afternoon hours, and candidates must have their own transportation due to the location in Balzac.
