This role is ideal for someone with recent forklift experience who enjoys working outdoors, supporting customers, and keeping a busy yard running smoothly. **Key Responsibilities** + Operate sit-down forklifts to load/unload trucks, replenish yard stock, and move palletized materials. + Stage orders by SKU, size, color, and pallet count using pallet tags and maps. + Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against paperwork; record discrepancies or damage. + Assist customers and drivers with safe loading and tie-down guidance. + Maintain a clean, safe yard environment with clear signage and pedestrian access. + Perform pre- and post-shift equipment inspections and report unsafe conditions. + Support yard processes such as pallet sorting, wrapper changes, and cycle counts. **Qualifications** + Recent forklift operating experience (construction materials, masonry, lumber, or similar). + Knowledge of safe stacking, pallet handling, and load securement. + Strong communication and customer service skills. + Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. + Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain/maintain). + Basic math skills for counts, footage, and pallet quantities. **Physical & Environmental** + Stand, walk, and operate forklifts outdoors in heat, cold, dust, and noise. + Use required PPE (safety vest, gloves, glasses, steel-toe footwear). **Schedule & Compensation** + **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Saturday, 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (rotational or as needed during peak season) + **Pay:** $18.00–$20.00/hour, based on experience + Overtime opportunities available during busy seasons. **Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)** + Familiarity with concrete block, pavers, and masonry product types. + Experience operating loaders or supporting block production equipment. + Previous work in a small, customer-oriented yard environment. **Apply with Adecco Staffing today and join a team that values safety, teamwork, and customer service! www.adeccousa.com** **Pay Details:** $18.00 to $20.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
