Our client, a leader in the logistics and materials management industry, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse team supporting efficient material handling and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have strong planning skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Salem, VA

Pay Range: $16.00 - $16.53

Shift: 8 hours per shift

What's the Job?

Receive and locate materials in appropriate storage locations. Assort material requirements to the production area effectively. Support the inventory control department with material cycle counts. Prepare finished products for shipping and manage shipping operations through established computer systems. Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the health, safety, and environmental initiatives.

What's Needed?

High School diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in inventory control is desirable. Planning and inventory control skills, including analysis and numerical operations. Forklift handling experience is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
