Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving, loading, and unloading parts and scrap materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse or yard environment and be committed to maintaining high safety and operational standards.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move automotive parts and scrap materials safely and efficiently.
+ Perform daily inspections of equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
+ Support inventory management by scanning, labeling, and placing parts in designated areas.
+ Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading trucks.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
+ Follow company procedures for handling recycled auto parts and materials.
+ Accurately track part movements and complete necessary documentation.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency.
**Qualifications:**
+ Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting (automotive parts experience preferred).
+ Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire).
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
+ Ability to lift and move heavy parts and materials (up to 50 lbs).
+ Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
+ Basic computer or scanner use for inventory tracking is a plus.
**Work Environment:**
+ Warehouse and outdoor yard settings with exposure to weather conditions.
+ Fast-paced, physical role requiring regular movement, lifting, and equipment operation.
**Pay Details:** $21.00 per hour
