Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated forklift operator to replace old yellow fabric with new yellow fabric while maintaining inventory. This role involves heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds repetitively, in a loud and fast-paced environment. You will work as part of a team to complete a specific amount of swaps within a set time frame. Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment, as well as ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, is essential.

ResponsibilitiesReplace old yellow fabric with new yellow fabric holding inventory.Perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds repetitively.Work in a loud and fast-paced environment.Collaborate with team members to complete swaps within a specific time.Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Essential SkillsGeneral labor experience in construction or production.Experience with commercial construction and assembly.Capability to build and assemble metal workstations and inventory shelving units.Punctuality, reliability, and safety consciousness.Physical capability for repetitive work involving lifting, pulling, pushing.Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, rivet guns, pallet jacks, and tape measures.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read a tape measure.Experience working with various types of hand and power tools.Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment up to 45 lbs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a climate-controlled warehouse that can be loud and chaotic. The shift is from 7am-4pm, with two 30-minute breaks (lunch and an additional break), Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays.

This is a Contract position based out of Burnaby, British Columbia.
