Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to handle the loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers. The role involves reading, decoding, and deciphering freight coding to expedite the freight movement and tracing process. Additionally, you will be responsible for reconciling driver pick-up and delivery manifests, labeling, weighing, and dimensionalizing freight, and performing cleanup activities to ensure a safe and clean dock environment. Recording damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports is also a key part of this role.

ResponsibilitiesLoad inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to size of freight and destination.Read, decode, and decipher freight coding to expedite freight movement and tracing process.Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests.Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight.Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock.Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports.Essential SkillsExperience with forklift operations.Material handling and inventory management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertification as a Forklift Operator.Experience as an Equipment Operator.Ability to accurately count materials.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $24.25/hr.
