Applicants are invited to apply for the above-mentioned position to be based at Supply Chain, Springs, within Dry Goods Department. The successful applicant will report to Dry Goods Controller.
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
Drives forklift or other mechanical handling locomotive. Complete daily forklift checklist. Ensure the forklift is in a good state of repair. Stacking and collecting products as per required specifications and safety standards. Supply Production with quality conforming materials. Adhering to stock movement operating procedures. Ensure proper documentation is in place prior to moving stock within the factory. Ensure that safety rules and regulations are adhered to and implemented. Loading / offloading supplier transport. Assist in monthly stock taking requirements. Adhoc stand-in duties when required Actively participate in Mini business activities and environment. Ensure proper housekeeping of the Materials warehouses.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
Grade 12 or relevant NQF 3 qualifications. Valid forklift driver’s license is essential. (3 Ton Forklifts) 1 – 2 years’ experience with operating a double fork forklift. Relative experience in a warehouse environment. Product knowledge would be advantageous. Ability to work under pressure. Candidate must be action focus orientated. The candidate must display strong customer-service orientation. Be a participative team member. Must be willing to work shifts and overtime when required. To reflect good leadership behavior towards colleagues, supervisors and company values.
