PURPOSE:

To provide supervisory leadership, efficient management and creative problem solving, in department related plant operations. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Creation of daily Forge Schedule based upon plant dispatch, equipment availability and optimal batch practicesGeneration of daily throughput and Earned Standard Hour plans to meet Forge and plant operational objectivesScheduling equipment availability for preventative and unplanned maintenance eventsCommunication of production schedule requirements to Forge Crew supervision, upstream supplying departments, Maintenance and Engineering supportEnsure organization and availability of paperwork, procedures, product, equipment, supplies and necessary production supportCoordination of department personnel assignments to assure production coverageManagement of Forge shop supplies budgetIdentify and implement ideas for productivity and quality improvementsSupport adherence to and implementation of Grafton Quality systems

REQUIREMENTS:

Equivalent to a four- year bachelor’s degree.Shop floor scheduling experience preferredS./ B.A (engineering discipline preferred) or equivalent work experience.LEAN Manufacturing concept implementation experience preferredExposure to Theory of Constraints throughput and inventory management preferredOther or substitute qualifications as determined by the Operations Manager.5 plus years supervisory experience.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $70,000 to $100,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 11 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
