Responsibilities:
Supervise, direct, and motivate instrumentation technicians and helpers
Assign daily tasks and ensure work follows drawings, specifications, and schedules
Coordinate activities with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams
Train crew members on proper instrumentation practices and safety procedures
Prepare the yearly forecast of the instrumentation maintenance budget
Oversee installation of field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level devices
Supervise installation of impulse lines, tubing, junction boxes, and instrument racks
Ensure proper cable routing, termination, and labeling
Monitor calibration, loop checking, and functional testing activities
Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues
Enforce site safety rules, permits, and toolbox talks
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and local regulations
Identify hazards and take corrective actions to prevent incidents
Ensure work meets project quality standards and inspection requirements
Review and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook-ups, and datasheets
Keep proper records and update of drawings
Maintain records of daily activities, manpower, and progress reports
Assist with punch list clearance and commissioning support
Identify and rectify installation defects or deviations
Plan manpower, tools, and materials required for daily work
Coordinate with supervisors and engineers to meet planned maintenance tasks and project deadlines
Report progress, delays, or issues to the Instrumentation Supervisor or Project Manager
Qualification Requirements:
Diploma or trade certification in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field
Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems
Experience and Skills Requirements:
5–10 years of experience in instrumentation, with supervisory experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Leadership and team management
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and reporting skills
Knowledge of calibration tools and testing equipment
Familiarity with industrial standards and safety practices
