Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator to oversee and manage commercial projects, specializing in site work, water/sewer projects, and the construction of playgrounds and parks.

Responsibilities

Source and calculate on-site bulk materials accurately.Forecast properly to ensure materials and equipment are available for the next phase.Operate all heavy equipment efficiently.Verify grades and ensure precision.Maintain proper upkeep of onsite equipment.Open and close project sites daily and conduct daily safety meetings.Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.Communicate effectively with subcontractors and project managers.Advise and maintain project schedules.Work under the direction of the Project Manager.Implement and uphold safety protocols onsite.

Essential Skills

Experience in construction and general labor.Proficiency in site work and heavy equipment operation.Ability to lead crews of 2 or more.Experience managing subcontractors.Skills in blueprint reading and execution.Proficient in operating excavators, dozers, and grading equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

OSHA 10 certification.Valid driver's license.DOT medical certificate.3-5 years of experience with underground utilities.3-5 years of experience with concrete flatwork.3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as mid-size excavators, front loaders, dozers, and skid steers.Hoisting License with a minimum requirement of 2A, 1C.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
