Foreign Disclosure / Releasability Analyst Sr
**Job Description** BAE Systems is seeking an experienced and motivated Mid-Senior Releasability Subject Matter Expert to support the NATO SeaSparrow Project Office (NSPO) in Arlington, VA. This role focuses on foreign disclosure, export compliance, and releasability review of technical, programmatic, and operational materials to support defense program activities. The selected candidate will serve as the subject matter expert for applying National Disclosure Policy (NDP-1) and export regulations, ensuring compliance with U.S. government policies and program-specific requirements. Key responsibilities include reviewing program artifacts, coordinating with U.S. government agencies and subcontractors, preparing export-control documentation, and maintaining auditable records of disclosure decisions and restrictions. The role also involves advising program personnel, training staff on compliance protocols, and ensuring adherence to policies during international meetings and foreign engagement activities. This position requires deep expertise in foreign disclosure and releasability, with working knowledge of ITAR and export control regulations. Excellent communication and coordination skills are a must to successfully navigate the complexities of multinational defense initiatives. Core Responsibilities + Serve as a subject matter expert in support of NSPO initiatives, including NDP/TTSARB, future acquisition programs, Navy policy changes, and missile/system upgrade programs. + Apply disclosure policies (e.g., NDP-1, delegated disclosure authority letters, distribution statements), customer and program-specific guidelines, security instructions, classification controls, to assess the releasability of information. + Review program artifacts (e.g., presentations, reports, meeting materials, correspondence, and technical documents) for foreign disclosure, releasability, and export compliance considerations. + Coordinate with U.S. government agencies (e.g., DoS, DoW, Navy IPO, NAVSEA), industry, and foreign representatives to obtain input for release recommendations. + Identify ITAR-controlled or export-sensitive information and escalate issues through the company empowered official for appropriate resolution. + Support preparation of export-control artifacts such as exemption letters, draft license and provisos, and related information needed for company review or other export authorization actions, as applicable. + Maintain auditable records, such as disclosure trackers, decision logs, country-specific restrictions, and release/export logs. + Assist with preparation of releasable versions of artifacts, including sanitization, derivative or consortium specific markings, and approved release language. + Review international meeting deliverables (e.g., agendas, attendee lists, presentations, and demonstrations) for compliance with releasability and export standards. + Advise program personnel on boundaries for sharing documents and discussing sensitive/export controlled information with foreign representatives. + Support training and day-to-day awareness for staff on releasability, foreign disclosure, NDP-1 limitations, ITAR awareness, export-controlled technical data, marking requirements, and acceptable engagement with foreign representatives. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor s degree in Security Management, International Affairs, Engineering, Program Management, Information Management, Law, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be substituted where appropriate. + Five or more years of relevant experience in foreign disclosure, releasability review, ITAR export compliance, FMS support, in a DoW program environment. + Experience reviewing documents or technical/programmatic information for sharing with foreign governments or international organizations. + In depth knowledge of NDP-1 concepts, disclosure decision factors, classification controls, CUI handling, and protection of controlled or restricted program information. + Working knowledge of ITAR, and other relevant U.S. and international export control regulations. + Familiarity with distribution statements, proprietary markings, project security instructions and maintaining auditable documentation of decisions, caveats, provisos, and release/export conditions. + Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with government officials and regulatory agencies, internal and external stakeholders and third parties. + Experience coordinating actions across program, engineering, security, legal, contracts, export compliance, and government stakeholders. + Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, Sharepoint and PowerBi. + Must be a US citizen with an active Secret DoD clearance to be considered for this position. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience supporting NAVSEA, PEO, international naval programs, missile programs, combat systems, or multinational defense efforts. + Familiarity with ITAR, export-controlled technical data, DSP-5 support, proviso tracking, or export license package development. + Experience supporting foreign visits, technical interchange meetings, coalition working groups, or allied customer engagements. + Experience preparing releasable or sanitized versions of technical or programmatic documents. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $118747 - $201870 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
