The core focus areas of the role include leading Ford Credit’s Strategy function and key strategic initiatives, overseeing the Ford Credit Business Office and leading key planning items for Ford Credit’s CEO. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Ford Credit strategy to drive growth, innovation and operational efficiency across the organization. This role is also responsible for Business Plan strategy development, and execution of the Ford Operating System (OS) within Ford Credit including Ford Credit Executive Committee governance. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven individual. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strategic mindset, is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with well-established executive level communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity to support Ford Credit’s CEO and other senior leaders as well as lead Ford Credit’s strategy and governance. The Strategy Director will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams and executive leaders across all of Ford Credit including markets, engineering, product, risk and finance. **What you'll do...** **Strategy** • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of Ford Credit’s overarching long term strategy and strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with Ford’s strategy and emerging market opportunities • Drive financial analytics, modeling, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making, including capital allocation, investment strategies, and profitability targets • Develop business cases for new initiatives such as expanding into new business opportunities, partnerships, and M&A initiatives • Serve as lead strategy thought partner to Ford Credit CEO and Ford Credit’s Executive Team • Collaborate with executives and teams across Ford Credit in developing point-of-view recommendations, strategic analysis and white papers • Lead competitive benchmarking and external environment related studies for automotive finance • Conduct industry landscapes based on external research and competitive benchmarking • Lead and facilitate strategy team sprint sessions and collaboration workshops • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of strategy and finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and strategic thinking • Prepare and present strategic recommendations, performance updates, and executive level communications/presentations for strategy papers including at the Ford Credit Board and Ford Board levels **Chief of Staff & Business Office** • Manage Ford Credit Business Office team • Lead planning for Ford Credit’s Executive Team objectives and monthly executive status reporting • Oversee Business Office processes related to headcount, hiring, budget and spending approvals • Oversee Ford Credit governance meetings including key meetings for the CEO and Ford Credit Board meetings • Executive event, and international travel agenda planning • Executive presentation and communications support, including coordination for employee meeting forums, weekly CEO update letters and external presentations • Key interface with other Ford Business Offices and functions across the Ford enterprise **You'll have...** • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field • An MBA or other relevant graduate degree is strongly preferred • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in strategic planning, corporate development, financial analysis, or consulting, with at least 5 years in a leadership or executive role within the automotive finance, captive finance, or broader financial services industry • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing complex strategic initiatives that have driven significant business growth and financial performance • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to structure complex problems, interpret large datasets, and derive actionable insights • Digital fluency: understanding of emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and digital platforms in financial services • Proactive, self-motivated & adept at working with global and multidisciplinary teams **Even better, you may have...** • Analytical and problem-solving approach; Highly organized and detail oriented • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels • Strong leadership capabilities with experience building, motivating, and developing high-performing teams • Deep understanding of the automotive industry, consumer lending, and the regulatory environment governing financial services • Adept at project management; comfortable as both team lead and team member • Familiarity and fluency with strategic and innovation frameworks and conceptual constructs; strong interest in strategy and innovation • Excels on PowerPoint / Excel, building presentations for executive leadership reviews You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
