FOPS Senior Project Engineer
Location: Doha, Qatar (with occasional offshore/site visits)

Role Overview
The FOPS Senior Project Engineer is responsible for managing the close-out of project outstanding works, including warranty cases, under the Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) team. The role requires strong technical and operational coordination, stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to resolving construction, commissioning, and operational issues.

Key Responsibilities Project Close-Out & Warranty Management Coordinate punch list and defect resolution post-handover to FOPS. Manage warranty claims with contractors and vendors. Provide technical support for resolution works at G-site. Analyze and resolve technical issues during operational and warranty stages. Stakeholder Coordination Ensure decisions from management are clearly communicated and implemented. Maintain daily coordination with operator stakeholders and participate in meetings with FOPS & M&I. Lead weekly progress meetings with contractors and internal teams. Engineering & Execution Support Review and validate work packs, method statements, and technical notes. Support contractor mobilization and material delivery. Assist in planning and execution of major tasks (e.g., UFF modifications, Siemens commissioning). Ensure engineering support and constructability reviews are completed. Documentation & Compliance Ensure all construction and commissioning documents meet technical standards. Support project close-out activities including performance tests, documentation archiving, and issuance of final reports. Promote compliance with operator HSE procedures and industry best practices. Interface & Vendor Management Coordinate between contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors. Review mobilization schedules and ensure realistic timelines and adequate resources. Maintain strong but objective relationships with contractors to meet project goals. Other Duties Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Work Environment Office-based in Doha with occasional offshore or contractor site visits. Regular communication with Field Operations Manager, Head of M&I, and other project stakeholders. Multicultural and complex project environment.
Qualifications & Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or extensive oil & gas industry experience. Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in project roles. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (brownfield & greenfield), inspection procedures, and work sequences. Familiarity with General Specifications (GS), AWS, GA drawings, structural plans, isometrics, and P&IDs. Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills. Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook). Certifications: OPITO-approved T-BOSIET and H2S training.
