FOODSERVICE REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - MID-ATLANTIC

This role is remote, based in the mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. and will require frequent travel across North America and to the corporate office in Seattle, up to 40%-50%.

Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Trident’s global operations produce finished wild Alaska seafood products in 6 countries and its sales teams serve customers in over 50 countries. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide. 

Summary: The Regional Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic will be responsible for executing and consistently performing sales activities for assigned customer base to maintain and profitably grow among current customers while pursuing new business opportunities with prospective customers in an entrepreneurial environment focused on integrity and personal accountability. This position will include the geographic territory of Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

In conjunction with management, develops and executes sales plans for their individual markets that will align with overall Foodservice strategy to drive new business through distributor placement and end user accounts.Independently prospects and develops new and existing relationships with customers to grow Trident’s share in foodservice segment while maintaining margin.Drives volume and margin growth aligned with corporate goals and expectations.Manages local marketing programs, direct broker partners to effectively promote Trident Seafoods in the marketplace.Leverages and analyzes data to guide sales efforts and make informed business decisions.Effectively communicates with internal and external customers and stakeholders.Manages trade and travel expenses for geographic region to maximize results.Delivers effective product presentations and business reviews (both virtual and in person).Negotiates pricing and coordinate on-boarding of new customers.Partners with other internal departments (Customer Service, Category Management, Credit, Finance, Supply Chain/Forecasting/Demand Planning, Operations, QA and Sales Support) to efficiently and accurately conduct sales transactions and a dynamic environment.Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volumes, potential sales, and areas of opportunity.Regularly travels within market to support customer presentations, food shows, and business reviews.

Additional Responsibilities: 

Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.Creates content and presents to customers on various sales related themes. Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

This is an exempt position with an annualized salary range of $90,000 to $135,000.
