POSITION SPECIFICS: Working Location: Various locations for the Food and Nutrition Services Department. Work schedule: Positions typically work 8 hours per day and 10-months per year. The position is paid on the AASD Classified Supervisors Salary Schedule, Supervisor Schedule I, Salary Plan 0604, Salary Grade 026. SPECIAL NOTE: AASD members will be given Priority Consideration for this position by completing an on-line application.
Education and Experience: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to three years of progressively responsible experience in food service management, food and nutrition and/or other directly related field performing quantity food preparation duties, preferably including cooking experience. Experience in school nutrition programs supervision is desirable. Licenses and Other Requirements: Possession of a valid California driver’s license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided). Must successfully pass an approved food service safety certification examination within 60 days after appointment. Must complete annual continuing education training and/or coursework as mandated per federal regulations in accordance to the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010.
