Job Summary Details:
The Food Service Worker will provide visitors with excellent customer service. Shift: M-F 11am - 7pm
Benefit Information:
• Must be 18 years of age or older • No experience required and on the job training provided • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Customer service experience • 1 year of similar work experience
Responsibilities Food preparation for both patient dining & retail service: Safely and efficiently prepare hot & cold food while following regulatory standards & following all food safety requirements.
Understand & populate all regulatory logs: Tracking food temperatures & time temperature control requirements. Monitor equipment including, but not limited to refrigerators, stove, ovens, etc.
Food safety standards: Follow standards to ensure food is safely prepared. Ensure food cool down procedures are followed. Understand food safety regarding cross contamination.
Recipes: Be able to read & execute standardized recipes. Must be able to read & speak English
Stocking and Inventory Control: Regularly check and restock food and beverage supplies in storage areas and kitchenettes, maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs.
Safety & sanitation: Understand safe cleaning & sanitation requirements for food preparation & station sanitation.
Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Cleaning and Sanitization: Assist in maintaining cleanliness throughout the department.
