FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT MANAGER NF-03 RFT (ALL SOURCES)
Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Responsibility for the daily operation of assigned fast food concept including School Lunch Program, Mobile Canteen and concessionaires. Coordinates the sale of food items and the preparation and sale of short-order food items. Ensure customer satisfaction through quality food preparation control. Responsible for the efficient functioning of the assigned fast food concept and assumes the responsibility for the security of cash receipts, change fund, cash handling procedures, and MCCS property. Ensure maximum efficiency within the activity through proper ordering, requisitioning, receiving and storage of food, beverages, and supplies following the guideline food and safety. Accept direct delivery items ensuring item count and prices are accurate and food is received in compliance with current sanitation regulations. Stores food properly to avoid spoilage. Maintains merchandise unit control and direct delivery books to ensure an adequate in-stock position and current prices. Ensure the proper preparation, display, and price marking of food item and adherence to correct receipt and pricing procedures. Prepares and maintains sales records and accountable documents. Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Supervises contract workers where contract workers are working to include assigning work, providing on-the-job training, preparing timesheet and other documents as necessary. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for NF-3 (Developmental): 1. 18 months of restaurant or related food service experience, OR successful completion of Named Brand Fast Food (NBFF) training. 2. Ability to become familiar with and understand Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) policies, orders and regulations relative to the work performed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for NF-3 (Full Performance): 1. Two (2) years of experience that provides knowledge of the operation of a food service or food concept facility as described above; or combination of experience to demonstrate responsible administrative and professional skills involved in field of sales, retail, food service, and/or cash handling procedures AND One (1) year of demonstrated experience as a leader or in a leadership role. 2. Must be able to supervise employees in performance of their duties and to deal effectively with Management officials and patrons. 3. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. 4. Must be able to obtain and maintain a low-risk, non-sensitive Tier-1 background investigation with Favorable eligibility as required. *When performing a majority of daily duties on a regular, recurring basis with School Lunch Program, incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain the equivalent of a Tier-1 background check with childcare coverage.
