Join ChristianaCare’s Food & Nutrition Services team as a Food Service Leader and play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality meal service to patients, staff, and visitors. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to lead with purpose and pride in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Location: Wilmington Hospital – Food & Nutrition Services
Schedule: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (Hours may vary based on departmental needs)
Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

What You’ll Do

Supervise and support food service staff across various work areasEnsure compliance with sanitation, safety, and quality standardsTrain and mentor new team membersAdjust daily work schedules to meet operational needsPromote a positive, service-minded cultureCommunicate policies and ensure workflows are followedSubmit and follow up on maintenance requestsPerform Service Assistant duties as needed

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent.  Two years of institutional food service experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.Strong communication and leadership skillsAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periodsIntermediate computer skillsCommitment to safety, hygiene, and confidentiality

Hourly Pay Range: $18.75 - $22.91

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
