Food Production Supervisor
Job Description Job Title: Food Production Supervisor (Seasonal) Location: Onsite – Denver, CO Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week Duration: September 15 – December 31, 2025 Hours: Mon–Tue, Thu–Fri: 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM Wed: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (staff remains until FedEx pickup, approx. 3:30–4:30 PM) About Us We are a nonprofit social enterprise that operates a mission-driven food production business. Our organization supports women who face chronic barriers to employment—including justice involvement—by providing transitional job training and wraparound support. The food items we produce and sell help fund this transformative work. Position Overview We are hiring a seasonal Food Production Supervisor to cover a maternity leave from mid-September through the end of the year. This role is essential to the daily operations of our food production floor and works directly with participants—women rebuilding their lives through employment and professional development. The ideal candidate is a reliable, empathetic leader with experience in food production and trauma-informed supervision. You’ll ensure food safety compliance, oversee packaging and production lines, and support participants in a second-chance employment environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of food production and packaging lines Ensure compliance with food safety standards (ServSafe and/or HASSA protocols) Maintain traceability and oversee food safety certifications Lead and support a team of women in transitional employment Collaborate with case management to support participants’ growth Troubleshoot production and personnel issues with empathy and professionalism Uphold trauma-informed practices and foster a respectful, inclusive workspace Manage holiday season production surges with efficiency and care Report to senior management and contribute to continuous improvement Compensation & Benefits: Hourly rate ranges from 20 - 25/hr depending on experience level and will include full health, dental, and vision benefits as well as access to a 401k plan.
