As a Food Production Assistant at Sodexo in Chesterfield Hospital, you’ll play an important part in preparing and serving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery and wellbeing. You’ll also help maintain a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas. With a cheerful attitude and great customer service, your presence can make a real difference in someone’s day. What you’ll do:
Follow approved cooking and preparation methods per specifications to ensure qualityComplete all production documentation, including temperature records, for hygiene and safety complianceAssist with monitoring production and wastage as per daily modis sheetDeliver ward order requests as instructedComplete service documentation: temperature logs, cleaning schedules, ward delivery recordsAccurately collate food service paperwork and numbersClean equipment via mechanical dishwashing or hand washing as instructedMaintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and related areas, including equipment, following safety protocolsComplete cleaning schedules for the catering departmentReport mechanical faults and repair needs to the supervisorComplete required training, including Food Safety and Health & Safety passportsUndertake operational training and obtain sign offFollow food safety legislation and working guidelines at all timesPerform other reasonable tasks as directed by managementWhat you bring:
