Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 for our dining operations at Vinson Hall Retirement Community in McLean, Viriginia. Vinson Hall is an upscale 325 resident Life Plan Community located on a park-like oasis in vibrant McLean, Virginia and just miles from our nation’s capital. This position will oversee dining room operations for the assisted living and healthcare residents as well as assisting with the independent living dining rooms as needed and special catering events. Strong hospitality skills, front-of-house experience is needed. Knowledge of special diets is helpful. The Food Operations Manager will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 25 hourly employees including dietary aides and servers. Typical shift will be 10:30am - 7:30pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage.
What You'll Do have oversight of 6 dining roomssuccessfully coordinate all required tasks through subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline staffdeliver high quality food services including catering and resident dining operationsachieve company and client financial targets and goals develop and maintain client and customer relationshipsensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance have daily interaction with residents, their families and clinical team to ensure resident satisfactioncreate a positive environmentensure Sodexo standards are met

Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
