Food Industry Technician Instructor
Are you passionate about teaching and empowering the next generation of skilled trades professionals? Join Lincoln Tech’s Custom Training division as a Food Industry Technology (FIT) Instructor! You’ll deliver hands-on, student-centered training using industry-leading curricula, real-world projects, and innovative instructional methods. Your expertise will help shape the future workforce in food processing, manufacturing, and related fields. What You’ll Do + Deliver engaging instruction in classrooms, labs, and partner facilities using presentations, group work, simulations, and practical labs. + Facilitate student learning by organizing clear objectives, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment, and adapting to diverse learning styles. + Mentor and support students through academic advisement, tutoring, and skills enhancement—motivating them to achieve their goals. + Develop and enhance curriculum by creating learning aids, assessments, and contributing to ongoing curriculum reviews. + Collaborate with industry partners and internal teams to ensure training meets real-world needs and compliance standards. + Maintain accurate records for attendance, grades, and student progress, and communicate concerns proactively. + Promote safety and compliance in all learning environments, following company and regulatory guidelines. What You Bring + Industry Experience: Hands-on electrical, mechanical, and mechatronics experience in the food processing or related manufacturing fields. OEM or equivalent industry training is highly valued. + Technical Skills: + Proficiency in mechatronics systems, ladder logic programming, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) troubleshooting and instruction. + Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, data networking, or similar technologies is a plus. + Instructional Experience: Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience is preferred. Ability to engage students and adapt to different learning needs. + Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. + Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude. + Professionalism: Demonstrated enthusiasm, reliability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. + Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Drafting Design, Manufacturing Technology) or equivalent industry experience.
