The Opportunity: 
As a Food Commercial Sales Representative on the Consumer team, your role is to successfully execute the consumer strategy by selling Smurfit Westrock food solutions to targeted accounts as well as to support the current base of accounts. Additional responsibilities include efficiently managing current customer relationships and navigating the Smurfit Westrock organization to provide solutions for our existing customers as well as newly targeted prospects.

  

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

Providing in-depth knowledge of the food industry, including fiber-based packaging and automated equipment offered by Smurfit Westrock and competitorsCoordinate with existing customers to meet their ongoing food packaging needs including field carton technical service and support Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Smurfit Westrock products and pricing structure to resolve inquiries and issues with customer accountsWorking with the broader Carton Commercial team, execute account strategies for new and existing customers to create tailored customer experiencesCollaborate with cross-functional teams throughout Smurfit Westrock to identify value-add opportunities to improve marginsFocus on improving the responsiveness to customer needs and “make it easy to do business with Smurfit Westrock”Communicate new Smurfit Westrock innovations to existing customers

 

 

What you need to succeed:
 

Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience in a manufacturing/packaging industryStrong customer focus and supportProven account management (or other sales/customer service) experienceExcellent (verbal and written) communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organizationExcellent organizational and time-management skills (Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail)Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needsOutstanding knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Salesforce and Copilot AI knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principlesBA/BS degree in related field Self-motivated, ability to juggle multiple and shifting prioritiesAbility to navigate the internal organization on critical challengesWillingness to travel 50%+ by air and car
