What will I be doing?
As a Food & Beverage Team Leader serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives, assists the Restaurant Manager & Assistant Restaurant Manager with the management, direction and organization of restaurant operations to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. As the Food & Beverage Team Leader, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.
Maintain a strong guest-first mindset, delivering proactive, timely, and personalized service while handling requests, queries, and complaints professionally.
Consistently implement and demonstrate True Waldorf Service, “Live Unforgettable,” brand standards, service delivery standards, and quality audit requirements.
Ensure mise en place, cleanliness, service flow, menus, and guest-facing materials are always in perfect condition, taking corrective action when required.
Uphold food safety, hygiene, health, fire, and workplace safety standards, ensuring accurate daily records and compliance at all times.
Ensure availability of all food & beverage items, manage alternatives during shortages, report maintenance issues promptly, and secure the outlet when closed.
Monitor outlet financial performance, control costs, manage inventory, minimize discrepancies, maximize revenue through upselling, and ensure accurate billing and cashier procedures.
Oversee beverage, F&B, linen, and equipment inventories, conduct daily and month-end counts, maintain records, and resolve discrepancies with proper approvals.
Lead by example, provide daily direction, foster teamwork, conduct training and coaching, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance.
Support rostering, vacation planning, and manpower allocation based on reservations and occupancy to ensure optimal productivity and service levels.
Maintain strong communication with guests, team members, management, other departments, suppliers, and Hilton/Waldorf Astoria properties to support overall resort success.
Gather guest feedback, review SALT results daily, share best practices, suggest operational improvements, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain punctuality, proper uniform and grooming standards, professional relationships, and a positive, motivated attitude at all times.
