Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Establishes client food & beverage and operational needs for the eventDevelops menus/themes for the event and establishes pricing for servicesAssists in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering, and assigns appropriate duties to subordinatesOversees Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standardsInspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulationsAssists with creation of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events.Maintains inventory controlAssists with analysis of information concerning facility operation such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operationsInspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulationsWorks within guidelines for food and labor costs

Supervisory Responsibilities 

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience            

At least 3 years’ experience in a food establishmentMinimum 2 years’ experience in supervisor level position in Food & Beverage or trainingOr equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior supervisory experience preferred

Skills and Abilities       

Excellent organizational and planning skills Strong customer service orientationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

Location: Onsite – Lansing Center

This position requires substantial daily activity including standing or walking for 8 or more hours, lifting up to 50+pounds, and manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as a computer is required.
