Food & Beverage Supervisor
**Description:** Thompson Houston is now recruiting for a Restaurant Supervisor. This position is available to start immediately and will be a part of a new restaurant, Sol7. The 3-meal dining venue includes an expanded 1-acre pool deck serving hotel guests and residents, luxury cabanas, private event spaces, indoor-outdoor dining areas and the best views of downtown. This restaurant is managed by Thompson Houston Hotel and Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Restaurant Supervisors possess strong leadership, communication and relationship skills. They are expected to support senior leadership by developing and assuming basic management responsibilities. This role leads other colleagues by coaching, giving direction and may include training, scheduling, payroll and interviewing. Restaurant Supervisors must demonstrate fundamental food and beverage knowledge and serve as the liaison between culinary and restaurant operations. This position plays a significant role in the overall outlet performance, which includes product quality and service standards. Supervisors must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Great opportunity to your next leadership role! The Pool Supervisor is responsible for supervising operations of Food & Beverage Outlets to deliver excellent guest and colleagues experience while working with the team to ensure departmental targets are met. Some tasks you will be expected to perform are (but not limited to): · Supervise Food & Beverage operations for In Room Dining, Restaurant and Lounge Service · Communicate and delegate tasks to the team · Ensure compliance of brand standards · Assist F&B management with training and development of team members · Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation · Lead the team during the shifts to ensure excellent guest service · Assist with payroll and scheduling Hyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards.
