Position Overview
A critical role responsible for conducting comprehensive food safety and quality audits, ensuring compliance with international food standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Execution
• Perform detailed food safety and quality system audits
• Conduct on-site inspections of food production facilities
• Assess compliance with international food standards (GFSI, ISO 22000, HACCP)
• Evaluate food safety management systems and processes
• Prepare detailed, accurate, and objective audit reports
Technical Assessment
• Verify implementation of food safety protocols
• Identify potential risks and non-conformities
• Recommend corrective actions and improvement strategies
• Assess documentation and record-keeping practices
• Evaluate supplier and vendor food safety compliance
Certification Process
• Support client certification journey
• Provide expert guidance on food safety standards
• Assist in developing corrective action plans
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations
Qualifications
Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety auditing
• Lead Auditor certification (IRCA/FSSC 22000)
• Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards
Technical Competencies
• Detailed knowledge of:
• GFSI benchmarked standards
• ISO 22000
• HACCP principles
• Global food safety regulations
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Proficient in audit reporting software
Professional Certifications
• Lead Auditor certification
• FSSC 22000 Auditor
• ISO 22000 Certification
• Additional food safety certifications preferred
