The Food & Beverage Supervisor at Taste - Embassy Suites Phoenix Biltmore is responsible for the supervision of restaurant, bar, banquets, and room service operations, including adherence to health regulations. In this role, you will supervise assigned staff to ensure the achievement of overall financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive employee relations and work with management to drive revenue, maximize profit, and ensure quality. 
 

Qualifications

2 years of restaurant or food and beverage supervisory experience requiredMust have the ability to communicate well with all levels within and outside the organization, and be able to problem-solve with employees and guestsMust be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEducation: High school diploma or GED requiredServSafe, TIPS beverage service certification or the ability to obtain certification is requiredFood Handlers CardPhysical Requirements: Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift Ability to lift, transport, and connect a keg weighing up to 150 pounds an occasional basis with assistanceRequires ability to work extended hours based on business needs, with physically demanding responsibilities such as walking, standing, carrying, and lifting throughout the extended shift

Responsibilities

The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all food and beverage aspects, including adherence to health regulationsIn this role, you will supervise assigned staff to ensure the achievement of overall financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive employee relations and work with management to drive revenue, maximize profit, and ensure qualitySupervise the food & beverage staff to ensure the department operates efficiently and business goals are achievedAttend appropriate meetings and communicate effectively with all responsible staff to ensure guest and employee needs are metBe present on the restaurant floor during peak business hoursOpen and close the restaurant as neededAccountable for guest satisfaction by ensuring food and beverage service standards are met and guest needs are responded to in a timely mannerPossess menu knowledgeResolve guest complaints in a courteous and friendly manner, focusing on service recovery when applicableWork side by side with staff to train and model appropriate guest service standardsResponsible for interviewing, hiring, and developing associatesEvaluate staff performance and coach the team to ensure standards are metMotivate team by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback, and rewarding/recognizing associatesWork in conjunction with the manager to deliver discipline/corrective action and make termination decisionsResponsible for training all associates and ensuring training records are maintained, particularly safe alcohol service trainingAnalyze quality issues, identify training needs, and ensure implementation to improve resultsUtilize available resources and adhere to training policiesEnsure all company, brand, and department-specific training requirements are metHelp attain revenue goals by implementing service programsResponsible for building and maintaining client relationships to drive repeat business/customer referralsUse expertise to develop and implement changes to food and beverage operations based on sales and guest commentsContribute to hotel profitability through effective expense managementResponsible for effective labor management through proper scheduling, monitoring, and adjusting based on business needs and the departmental budgetManage and maintain company assets to stay within budget guidelinesConduct routine inspections of food and beverage operations to maintain quality food, beverage and kitchen/restaurant standards per brand, local, state and federal regulationsEnsure a clean and safe work environment, and follow all procedures for guest/employee incidentsResponsible for effective self/workload managementDemonstrate clear written and verbal communication skillsPromote collaboration and a positive, professional work environmentAttend all appropriate meetings to ensure proper communication/planning occursAdhere to all Embassy Suites by Hilton Standard Operating Procedures
