Operational
· To be fully aware of all events and activities within Food Beverage hotel on a day to day basis.
· To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times following the Operational Standards of Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park.
§ To be responsible for an assigned section within the Restaurant or event area.
§ To seat, present menus, take orders, serve food and beverage to guests according to the established sequence and procedures.
§ To set up, clear and reset designated work areas.
§ To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
§ To perform opening and closing procedures established for the place of work assigned.
§ To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu and ability to recommend food and beverage combinations and up-sell alternatives.
§ To ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organised at all times.
§ To monitor operation supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
§ To report lost and found items.
§ To assist in identifying all training needs.
§ To conduct on the job training.
§ To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
· To deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
· To keep a positive and professional relationship between all departments across the Hotel and Food Beverage.
· To provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work.
