FNOL Agent (Motor Team)Key roles
This position is within the Motor Claims Team and will include the triage (filtering claims), registration and allocation of motor claims notifications received. It will also include administration support to the motor claims handling teams, as and when required.
Specific responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Under the overall direction of the Manager/Team Leader and working in collaboration with claim support colleagues and fellow motor claims handlers (as appropriate) the Agent’s responsibilities may include:
First Contact with Insured/ Claimant/Third Party (predominately over the phone and some paper notifications)
Capturing all claim details accurately and ask probing questions where necessary
Triage and assessment of claim notification
Data Entry /case allocation /information collation
Active engagement to promote network aligned services to benefit Customer and their experience
Sending instructions to aligned service providers
Liaison with internal experts for technical advice
Issuing relevant documentation to the insured
Direct broker engagement particularly in respect of Commercial Fleet policies
Ensuring high quality data input to minimise re-entry or update
Processing (including where appropriate scanning) and timely action of mail and claim related documentation
System and data integrity, ensuring full records are kept regarding claims management
Engage with a mentor to assist in career development and progression
General administration duties including generating claims settlements and raising bordereaux
Qualifications/skills
Insurance, broking or claims background a distinct advantage but not essential
APA or higher, or working towards APA a distinct advantage but not essential
IT literacy including database usage
Highly motivated, proactive and with excellent influential skills to influence both internally and externally
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Possess a high level of organisational skills and problem-solving ability
Have proven team-working skills and the ability to see the "big picture"
Possess an ability to maintain focus, control and positivity under pressure
Experience
A basic knowledge of Motor Claims classifications or Motor Policies and processes a distinct advantage, the successful candidate will have worked previously in a fast-paced environment, with a demonstrable ability to be flexible, able to adapt to changing requirements and willing to learn.
Must have experience working in a pressurised environment with deadlines with a full understanding of market agreements / developments and quantum
