Flux Core Welder
Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description

We are seeking skilled welders and fabricators to join our team. You will be responsible for welding large tanks ranging from 1/4 to 3 inches using blueprints. The primary welding technique will be flux core dual shield welding with .045 wire, and occasionally 1/16” wire. Proficiency in welding 2g horizontal, 3g vertical, and 4g overhead is essential. Please note that there are no TIG requirements for this position.

ResponsibilitiesWeld large tanks using flux core dual shield welding with .045 wire.Read and interpret blueprints accurately.Perform welding in 2g horizontal, 3g vertical, and 4g overhead positions.Conduct weld tests on 1/2 inch plates with an open root and back grind.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in flux core welding.Proficiency in reading blueprints.Experience with dual shield flux core welding.Ability to weld in 2g horizontal, 3g vertical, and 4g overhead positions.Additional Skills & QualificationsPossess basic tools including adjustable wrenches, wonder bar/pry bar, 3 & 5 lb mallets, tape measure, and chipping hammer.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is located in a steel fabrication yard that is covered but open to the air. The schedule follows a 1st shift starting at 4 AM and ending at 2:30 PM, working four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday. Currently, the team is working five 10-hour shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
