JOB SUMMARY

Maintains a clean, sanitary environment, minimizing any infection risk. Promotes and enhances the safety of patients, families, and staff. Maintains standards of operational practice. Maintains a professional appearance. Specialist in floor care maintenance.

Strips, scrubs, sweeps, refinishes, and buffs all tiled floor areas of the center, utilizing the proper equipment and procedures.

Vacuums and spot cleans all carpets throughout the center. Performs cyclical cleaning according to projects schedule

Works on weekends and evenings as specified to do special projects such as complete floor treatment and carpet cleaning. Assists in washing walls, furniture, ceilings, and other heavy duty cleaning chores.

Experience and/or Pre-requisites

• Floor care experience

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and write.

• Ability to effectively follow simple oral and written instructions.

• Ability to operate equipment.

• Ability to perform as a team player, and get along with all other employees.

• Knowledgeable of all floor care chemicals and cleaners, as well as application practices. • Efficient in the use and maintenance of all floor care equipment and supplies, including buffers, pads, wet-vacs, burnishers, scrubbers, and extractors.

• Basic computer skills.
