LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Plano, TX

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 6:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

Process billing information and collect payments when required

Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

Maintain patient and specimen information logs

Provide superior customer service to all patients

Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment

1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)

Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program

Additional Job Standards:

Will cover sites in Plano, TX and surrounding North Texas areas (40+ miles)

Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment

Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Must be 21 years of age and have a clean driving record

Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Exceptional customer service

Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Comfortable working under minimal supervision
