DaVita is hiring a Float Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in our outpatient dialysis clinics. There is a 10% differential when floating outside of the home center and would be re-imbursed for mileage following our travel policy.

As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care

Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment

Set up and maintain dialysis equipment

Record vital signs and patient data

Educate patients on treatment and kidney health

Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Dialysis experience with active CCHT

Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment

Physically able to work long shifts on your feet

Willing to float between local clinics if needed

Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

The Wage Range for the role is $23.50 - $36.50 per hour.

Patient Care Technician ICHD Float Resident: $24.00 - $25.25 per hour.

 

 

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour, Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour
