**Position Overview**
Reputable Medical transport company is seeking experienced and passionate Flight Nurses to join its elite medical transport team. This role involves delivering advanced emergency care and critical transport services via rotor-wing, fixed-wing, or ground units. As a Flight Clinician, you’ll be at the forefront of life-saving missions, providing rapid response and high-level medical assistance in urgent situations.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform a wide range of specialized functions including complex assessments, diagnoses, therapies, and emergency treatments for critically ill or injured patients during transport.
+ Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and stabilization efforts throughout transport.
+ Ensure complete and accurate billing documentation for all patient transports.
+ Maintain timely and effective communication with management, internal teams, and external customers.
+ Support public relations and marketing efforts through community engagement and outreach.
+ Participate in mandatory meetings, chart reviews, equipment reviews, skill labs, clinical rotations, and continuing education sessions.
+ Complete all annual recurrent competency requirements.
+ Maintain an active RN license and all required certifications.
+ Operate under the direction of the program’s Medical Director through established medical protocols and procedures, including online medical guidance.
+ Report clinically to the Manager of Clinical Services and indirectly to the National Director of Clinical Standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Active RN license in the state of employment.
+ Minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) of current critical care or emergency experience.
+ Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and one of TNATC, TNCC, ITLS, or PHTLS. NRP preferred. Instructor certifications are a plus.
+ CFRN certification required within 24 months of hire.
+ Flight or transport experience preferred.
+ Must successfully complete PHI Air Medical Group’s education and orientation program.
+ Effective interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and external partners.
+ Must meet and maintain clinical personnel weight restriction (under 235 lbs).
+ Must pass a pre-placement physical exam, including a functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment, ability to lift up to 100 pounds), and drug screening.
+ Basic computer proficiency for email, electronic charting, and documentation.
