We are hiring a full-time Certificated Flight Instructor for our Initial Pilot Training (IPT) Program for the United States Air Force (USAF) located in Pueblo, CO. The Certificated Flight Instructor provides training, evaluates performance, and serves as a mentor/professional developer to new aviators. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

Conducting training (ground and flight duties) in accordance with the applicable FAA training requirements under FAR part 141. 

Providing ground instruction on aircraft systems, training maneuvers, procedures, and other flight related subjects. 

Conducting preflight/post flight-debriefings and providing in-flight instruction to ensure students have a thorough understanding and comprehension of the training materials. 

Executing flight training to USAF students resulting in Private Pilot Certification with Instrument privileges for Single and Multi-Engine Land Airplane. 

Completing gradebook entries to ensure syllabus requirements are met. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements 

Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent  

License(s)/Certificate(s): Flight Instructor Airplane Single Engine Land (CFI) 

Current Class III Medical 

Ability to lift 50 lbs. 

Preferred qualifications and Skills 

Experience: 1 - 2 Years as a flight instructor 

Flight Instructor Airplane Single and Multi-Engine; Instrument Airplane 

Certificated Flight Instructor teaching technologically advanced aircraft in a Part 141 flight school or Military Undergraduate Flight Training experience as a fully qualified instructor. 

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office 

Working conditions include outdoors, hangar, office, ramp, aircraft, classroom  

Security Responsibilities 

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
