Kalypso is seeking exceptional candidates who are looking for an exciting career as a SOLUTION ARCHITECT.  

 

As a Solution Architect, you will work in a client-facing role for established global clientele, helping them apply leading ThingWorx IoT, Advanced Analytics and Augmented Reality capabilities to challenging business problems. Our work is fast-paced, demanding, and provides unparalleled exposure to unique opportunities. The learning curve can be quite steep, but our team will help you build confidence and enable you to explore areas that are of interest to you. Our focus is on helping clients extract business value from cutting edge IoT capabilities, not just on making the technology work. In this role you will help design, develop, and test solutions for a diverse set of clients in industries such as Manufacturing, Life Sciences, High Tech, Consumer Goods and Retail. You will report to the Principal - Kalypso and work remote anywhere in North Carolina.

 

Your Responsibilities:

Designing & developing business solutions, working with business process owners, department heads, functional groups, I.T. and others in the client ecosystem. 

Face-to-face interaction with clients to design solutions that address applications gaps or facilitate system interaction between commercial solutions and the client’s existing applications. 

Designing the technical architecture for the solutions in a manner that allows ease of use and quick adoption by users in all the involved business groups for a diverse set of clients. 

Designing, developing, and providing oversight to the development team related to the solution design, testing and deployment of the software solutions. 

 

 

The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.A valid driver's license.The ability to travel up to 70% travel domestically and internationally.

 

The Preferred - You Might Also Have: 

Undergraduate degree (preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems with supplementary experience in Data Science and/or Statistics). 

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. 

Experience with PTC ThingWorx technology stack: 

Development of IoT applications and solutions including building scalable data model, services, orchestration, system integrations 

Development of IoT connectivity components utilizing ThingWorx edge SDK’s or industrial protocols (OPC, MQTT, MTConnect, ModBus and similar). 

Experience integrating ThingWorx with ‘Big Data’ platforms. 

Competency in Graph/NoSQL database techniques, and RDBS platforms like Oracle and MS SQL Server. 

Competency in modern web development techniques like Angular, Node.js, HTML5 and CSS. 

Competency in one of the major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.  

General knowledge of Agile and SDLC software development practices and technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans, etc.).
