JOB SUMMARY Join the global Data and Analytics organization at Marriott as a Director, Data Product Manager – Onsite Digital and lead our data strategy & management for all on property digital data needs. This pivotal role centers on crafting data strategies to refine guest experience and foster personalized customer experiences for guests in our hotel properties across the globe. The Director will drive data requirements for the company's Onsite Digital (OSD) program supporting Enterprise Chat, Guest Room Entertainment TVs, Mobile Key, Wifi, Kiosks and various other Arrivals and on-property digital experiences, focusing on effective data collection, curation, and activation to enable prioritized use cases to delight the customer. The Director will implement advanced digital data management, tagging requirements and marketing measurement strategies, using data insights to enhance product performance and content generation, working closely with cross-functional teams from digital, marketing and technology organizations. Moreover, the Director will lead efforts to enhance data platforms including cloud data warehouses and ad servers, leveraging the latest technologies for sophisticated front-end experiences. This high-impact position will involve direct interaction with the leadership teams across the BID organization and the Digital department. CANDIDATE PROFILE + Education and Experience Required 4-year degree from an accredited university in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or similar quantitative discipline and Eight or more years of experience demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance in data management, analytics, data warehousing, or marketing technology OR + Six or more years of experience in data management, analytics, data warehousing and a Master's degree Experience with design and engineering of complex data flows for audience development using SQL Knowledge of database technologies and distributed datastores (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) + Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity Preferred Qualifications + Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for customer & marketing data + Knowledge of underlying marketing tech CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Primary Leadership Activities + Provide leadership, consulting, and information expertise to achieve the goals for Data Management: Data and Analytics Infrastructure: + Work with Analytics and IT teams to develop and deploy an effective digital data and customer analytics infrastructure. + Contribute to data strategy, data management, and enhanced data products for use by the Onsite Digital organization. + Oversee the broader data strategy and effectively prioritize implementation tactics for media data to ensure they are in line with overall organizational goals and long-term business strategies. + Work closely with the digital and analytics teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and data requirements necessary for optimizing segmentation strategies and enhancing ROI. + Manage vendors/technical staff to build the infrastructure to support data & reporting solutions in AWS, Snowflake, Tableau, Python, etc. Oversee development of systems and technologies that reduce manual processes and data quality issues relating to data capture. + Partner with Analytics and IT to build Data Management, Analytics and Reporting roadmaps for future years. + Partner with business leadership to secure funding for critical Data Management & IT programs. + Managing Responsibilities with Stakeholders Develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the organization. + Foster a positive climate to build effective teams that are committed to organizational goals and initiatives. + Update stakeholders on key initiative wins and opportunities, responds to concerns, and solicits feedback. + Engage leadership to develop and execute action plans to address gaps. + Assist direct reports with building and maintaining stakeholder relationships as business partnerships. + Managing Profitability and Revenue Goals Analyze service issues and identifies trends. + Work with teams to develop an operational strategy that is aligned with the brand’s business strategy and leads its execution. + Review and audit expenses. + Monitor performance against budget. + Review reports and financial statements to determine operations’ performance against budget. The pay range for this position is $60.38 to $96.44 per hour.
