Our client, a leader in the automotive and transportation industry, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be part of the technical support department, ensuring the operational uptime and reliability of our cutting-edge fleet. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $69 per hour

What's the Job?

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for real-time escalations regarding powertrain and vehicle dynamics issues. Conduct in-depth root cause analysis to implement both interim and permanent corrective actions. Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to powertrain performance, energy consumption, and charging. Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for powertrain components to empower field technicians and drive knowledge sharing. Analyze large datasets to proactively identify systematic issues and recommend preventative actions.

What's Needed?

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, focusing on powertrain, energy storage, or charging systems. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering. Ability to safely troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems. Hands-on experience with powertrain systems, including electric motors, inverters, and battery management systems. Deep understanding of electric vehicle (EV) technology and powertrain control strategies.
