Diesel Fleet Mechanic

Location: Kathleen, GA

Pay: $25- $36

Shift: (Sunday - Wednesday // Wednesday - Sunday)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose and repair mechanical issues, manage parts inventory, and support entry-level mechanics with complex repairs. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring vehicles are returned to traffic centers and collaborate with vendors and drivers across various roles.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vehicles.Manage parts inventory and work order documentation efficiently.Support entry-level mechanics with complex repairs and guidance.Return vehicles to traffic centers, requiring a valid CDL.Collaborate with vendors and interact with drivers to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in diesel and hydraulic systems.Experience with tractor trailers, life gates, and transmission systems.Knowledge of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems.Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).Ability to work in tight spaces and lift over 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum age of 21.Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.Experience working under trucks for extended shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.22 - $36.72/hr.
