Role Summary: The Warehouse Fleet Manager for Canteen at Google will plan, organize, direct, arrange, evaluate and is responsible for the operations of the fleet. Oversees the management and safety of the fleet of vehicles including EVs, gas, diesel and electric vehicles. This includes the safety training and logistics of vehicle maintenance. This individual will manage logistical operations, encompassing routing responsibilities. Oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatching of goods. Oversees the managers, drivers and employees for the fleet. Will also have some oversight into warehouse facilities, including the identification of opportunities for operation improvements. This individual will serve as the Point of Contact during any absence of the AGM/GM of the warehouse. This person is also responsible for ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of everyone in the building and the stock. This person is also in charge of meeting productivity targets, to manage teams and deal with personnel issues such as recruitment, training and discipline of staff Responsibilities ? Supervise and motivate a staff of salaried managers and hourly employees. ? Foster an environment of teamwork and cooperation to achieve the program’s desired results ? Ensure that customer/user/client service expectations are met, including achieving all service levels metrics and quality performance goals. ? Communicate and interact with various internal functional departments (i.e. EMR, IT, HR, Accounting, Procurement, etc.) in order to resolve issues, capitalize on opportunities and improve business and service performance. ? Ensure account and Compass/Canteen quality standards are met. ? Generate, cultivate and communicate ideas for continual improvement of processes and activities across all areas of the operation with specific focus on routing. ? Prepare various reports and analysis as required for the account. ? Research and reconcile forecasted financial results with posted report/dashboard results as part of the weekly and monthly Close Process. ? Support and ensure compliance with safety programs and initiatives as well as all applicable OSHA and state workplace safety laws. ? Ensure compliance with all building security requirements set forth by Compass and the client ? Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and peers. ? Partner with EMR for the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment Required Skills: ? Excellent leadership ability. ? Strong coaching and employee development skills and experience. ? Minimum Qualifications ? 5+ years of proven Operations management experience required. ? Strong communication skills; the ability to invoke conflict resolution skills effectively and the ability to communicate with all levels of management. ? Proficient with Google suite of software (sheets, docs, slides, etc). Experience with an order processing system or an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is a must ? A Fleet manager should have knowledge of applicable regulations, health and safety, public safety and security, administration and management, transportation principles and methods, personnel and human resources, labor relations, mathematics, customer and personal services and production type processing ? The important abilities for this role include leadership, change management, oral expression and comprehension, speech clarity and recognition, written comprehension, problem solving,sensitivity,flexibility, inductive and deductive reasoning and information ordering ?
